Camp Info

Description:
Camp Bighorn, in Plains, Montana, is a Christian adventure camp whose purpose is to exemplify and encourage Godly character in both our campers and staff. At Camp Bighorn it is our desire to help prepare you to live a Christian life that glorifies God. One of the keys to life as a Christian is the process. God does not make us into super Christians the moment we receive Him, but He will be faithful to complete that which He has started. (Philippians 1:6) Jesus makes it clear what He expects of us in Luke 9:23 when He says, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." Jesus expects us to be living this Christian life every day. Join us at Bighorn, and spend time in a changed environment to be challenged to live more like Him.

Have you been on an adventure with this camp? Tell others about it.

We don't know everything so please suggest a camp for consideration if you know of a camp that you feel meets this description:

  • The camp's primary goal is to share the word of Jesus Christ to Christians and Non-Believers
  • They use outdoor adventures as a primary method of helping individuals to experience God. ie: their adventures constitute a majority focus of their programming.
  • Examples of such adventures may include (but are not limited to) White water River Rafting, Rock Climbing, Backpacking, Hiking, Wilderness Trips, Kayaking, Spelunking, Mountaineering, Mountain Biking, Canyoneering...

We would love to personally visit each and every camp; unfortunately we are unable to do so. Our inclusion of camps is therefore partially based on outside recommendations and research. If you feel that a camp has been listed in error, or would like to tell us more about a camp, please fill out our camp questionnaire.
